CASHLESS awarded the Best of First Take 2009!

Wow. What a wonderful way to end our last scheduled screening for the film!

CASHLESS was just awarded the Best of First Take 2009 at the substation! The award consists of Kodak 16mm film stock worth SGD1,250 and is awarded to the most highly voted short film featured in First Take 2009.

It’s been such an exhilarating ride for the team this year. To those who voted, supported and enjoyed the film, a heartfelt thanks. You made this meaningful for us.

Danny nominated for Best Actor at the 5th Asian Festival of First Film in Singapore!

Our actor, Danny Jow, has been nominated for Best Actor at the 5th Asian Festival of First Film (AFFF). We are one of the 4 Singaporeans nominated out of 30 nominee hopefuls from 28 countries. Congratulations Danny – you make CASHLESS proud!

This is especially special for nuSTUDIOS Film Productions as we see Derrick Loo, a nuSTUDIOS Alumni, also nominated for Best Cinematographer in Blood Ties.

CASHLESS will be screening on the 30th Nov (Monday) 11.40am at the Arts House, bringing us back to the venue of CASHLESS’ world premiere. More details can be found here

CASHLESS voted Audience Favorite for November First Take!

We’ve just received news that CASHLESS has been voted the Audience Favorite at last night’s First Take and will be screened at December’s Best of First Take programme! Will update on that when full details are out!

CASHLESS screens at November First Take!

CASHLESS screens to its Singapore audience once more, following our premiere and NUS screening.

November’s First Take brings you more new shorts from Singapore! Featuring stories from an account transfer gone wrong, a triad bloodbath, an accidental vigilante in Singapore and more. There will be a Q&A session with the directors as well.

CASHLESS goes to UK again!

First it was the 14th Portobello Film Festival, now it is for the Falstaff International Film Festival!

CASHLESS is selected under the International (Long) Shorts segment along with 30+ international shorts! It is certainly an honor to be selected!

Canadian International Annual Film Festival

CASHLESS has been awarded TWO STARS for the 2009 Canadian International Annual Film Festival! Check out the website here.

CASHLESS selected in 3 festivals around the world!

First off, 2009 Canadian International Annual Film Festival in Canada! CASHLESS was recognized under the TWO STARS category. We are not fully sure what this means yet, but more details should be out soon.

Next, the 2009 Young Cinema Art, World Student Film Festival in Warsaw, Poland! CASHLESS has received a nomination in the festival and the festival will run from the 22 to 24 October in Plock. More details will be out soon, but for the moment click here to find out more.

Finally, the inaugural Global Cinema Festival at Indore in Madhya Pradesh, India! Amazing fact: our actor, Prakasam, who plays Ganesh in CASHLESS  was born and spent most of his life in Madhya Pradesh! It certainly makes the makes the screening all the more meaningful. The festival opening is 8 October and will run from 9 to 15 October.
